Di Linh Birding Trails is located in Deo Nui San (Di Linh), one of the best birding hotspots in Southern Vietnam. Deo Nui San (Di Linh) is also known by other names such as Deo Suoi Lanh or Nui San Pass. It's a forested area along the road from Di Linh to the seaside town of Phan Thiet.

Di Linh Main Road is a traffic road surrounded by impressive forested hills. The best birding is between the 80 km and 75 km road markers. Walking along the road, you may spot Red-vented Barbet (Near Endemic), Speckled Piculet, Long-tailed Broadbill, Maroon Oriole, White-faced Jay, Grey-crowned Tit, Streaked Spiderhunter,....A highlight of this walk could be seeing the colorful Langbian Sunbird (Endemic - Subspecies).
Di Linh Forest Trails are narrow mountain trails; Walking on the trails in this area can sometimes be quite challenging as they have steep slopes. With a very luck, you might spot the rare endemic "Orange-breasted Laughingthrush" and number of specialities of Vietnam such as Yellow-vented Green-Pigeon (Near Endemic), Red-headed Trogon, Red-vented Barbet (Near Endemic), Necklaced Barbet (Near Endemic), Annam Barbet (Near Endemic), Dalat Shrike-Babbler (Endemic), Maroon Oriole, Black-headed Parrotbill (Near Endemic), Red-billed Scimitar-Babbler, Collared Babbler, Annam Streaked Wren-babbler (Endemic - Subspecies), Vietnamese Cutia (Endemic), White-spectacled Sibia (Endemic - Subspecies), Plain Minla (Near Endemic - Subspecies), Rufous-backed Sibia, White-cheeked Laughingthrush (Near Endemic), Yellow-billed Nuthatch (Near Endemic), Green Cochoa,...
Bird Photography: Please note that you need luck if you want to get good pictures of those birds on birding trails. These stunning birds are the most difficult species to photograph.
