































Bird Hide Tour - Best of Southern Vietnam (7-Days) is especially focused on Pittas and Specialties of Southern Vietnam. We will spend 90% of time at bird hides giving you the opportunity for excellent photos. We only spend 10% of time trying our luck on birding trails, we will walk to look for birds that do not come to feeders like trogons, barbets, sunbirds and many more classic tropical species.

Welcome to VietBird Ltd! We'll meet and welcome by Tan Son Nhat airport or your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. You will be transferred to Cat Tien National Park. We will arrive in time for some initial exploration this wonderful park and have a welcome dinner in the evening. Night at Cat Tien.
We will spend a full day birding in this wonderful park, the largest remaining lowland rainforest in Vietnam, and one of the best birding destinations in the country. We will spend most of time at bird hides, our main photographic targets will be the stunning Bar-bellied Pitta, Blue-rumped Pitta, Germain's Peacock Pheasant and Siamese Fireback. Night at Cat Tien.

After some final birding at Cat Tien we will drive north to Di Linh town. In the afternoon we will start the exploration of the Deo Nui San area. Night at Di Linh town.
Today we will have a full day birding at Deo Nui San, a pass surrounded by impressive forested hills. We will spend most of time at bird hides, our main photographic targets will be 2 most beautiful species "Blue Pitta" and "Indochinese Green-magpie". Night at Di Linh town.

After some final birding at Deo Nui San this morning, we will drive to Da Lat Plateau for a two nights stay. We will arrive in time to begin our exploration Da Lat Plateau, the place with the largest number of endemic species and specialties of Vietnam. Night at Da Lat City.
We will have two full days to explore the excellent birding sites and bird-hides in Da Lat Plateau. Our main photographic targets in the bird hides will be the beautiful endemic "Collared Laughtingthrush" and the rare "Rusty-naped Pitta". Most of the time, we will explore some birding sites around Da Lat look for many beautiful birds such as Dalat Shrike-Babbler (Endemic), Langbian Sunbird (Endemic - Subspecies), Annam Sunbird (Near Endemic - Subspecies), and other specialties. Nights at Da Lat City.

After some final birding at Da Lat before going to Da Lat’s airport for a domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi Capital for your departure flights.
Physical difficulty: Mostly easy walking along tracks, roads, and trails, but there will be a few inclined sections in the mountains.
Habitats Covered: Broadleaved evergreen forest, Evergreen forest, Secondary forest, Dry dipterocarp forest, Wetland, Rice field, Mountain forest, Pine forest, Bamboo forest, Shoreline.
Accommodation: Comfortable hotel and Guesthouse at the Parks. All accommodations have hot water, free Wi-Fi and most have air-conditioning.
Climate: Temperatures typically vary between 20°C-25°C (68-77°F). At higher altitudes we may encounter some small rain at times and colder temperatures 10°C- 20°C (50-68°F).
